Women's Health Programs

PMS, Hormonal Imbalance and Endometriosis

Women's Health Matters

We employ acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation as well as diet and lifestyle counseling. All these natural healing methods help your body and hormone function more efficiently which is essential for women's health. By addressing the pattern of imbalance according to the Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis, numerous feminine issues such as irregular and painful periods, PMS, PCOS, ovulation disorders, and endometriosis often improved dramatically.

Endometriosis

10%–15% of women between the ages of 24 and 40 suffer from endometriosis which can sometimes interfere with your fertility. Endometriosis is the growth of endometrial tissue in areas of a woman’s body outside the uterus. The tissue is usually found in areas of the abdomen, specifically on the ovaries, the fallopian tubes, the ligaments that support the uterus, the area between the vagina and rectum, the outside of the uterus, or the lining of the pelvic cavity. It causes pain during menstruations and intercourses, and infertility.

Chinese medicine can help reduce symptoms, regulate your menstrual cycles and balance your hormones. Our team will develop a personalized treatment program with you that will include Acupuncture, Anti-inflammatory diet therapy and Chinese herbs and supplements

PMS and Painful Periods

Each woman's cycle is unique. Some women barely noticed when their period comes and goes. For others, however, they might experience a variety of symptoms ranging from mood swings, weight gain, painful cramps, heavy bleeding and so on. The range of symptoms that correspond with monthly cycles is called premenstrual syndrome or PMS.
Our integrated approach incorporates both research-based and time-tested treatments combining Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and abdominal massage/acupressure, proper diet and lifestyle and stress management tools. We address the underlying causes of pain using a patient-centered approach addressing the whole person, not just isolated symptoms.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, also known as "The Non-Surgical Face-lift", is an effective, non-surgical treatment to reduce the signs of aging. It is based on the principles of Chinese Medicine, which involves the insertion of very thin disposable needles into the acupuncture points on the face. This superficial insertion will increase the local circulation to the face and stimulate collagen production, which will fill out the lines and give firmness to the skin for a healthy, glowing complexion. Due to its ability to drain toxins and regulate the skin and muscles, it clears heat and serves as a method of detoxifying the skin; it also drains stagnant fluids and eases puffiness.

Horminal Imbalances + Irregular Periods

Your menstrual cycle occurs depending on the hormonal interaction which involves the brain, ovaries, adrenal, pituitary and thyroid glands. If there is any interference with this delicate hormonal balance, you may experience irregular or absent periods (amenorrhea) .
Acupuncture is frequently used to help regulate menstrual cycles, reduce stress, and improve blood flow to the pelvic area and uterine lining.

Herbal Therapy is an essential treatment modality for gynecological conditions (including infertility) in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and provides an important complement to acupuncture. While acupuncture stimulates the flow of Qi and blood, herbal formulas are designed to nourish and replenish deficiencies in the metabolic, endocrine, and immune systems.
